He has worked at a number of local practices where he gained experience of working on challenging planning and listed building applications, producing detailed design work to a high standard, and running projects on site. His experience covers a wide range of sectors, including commercial architectural design and housing development, he now specialises in bespoke residential architecture. Prior to qualifying as an architect Johnny worked in the construction industry where he gained an invaluable practical understanding of how buildings are made, this experience helps him to produce well crafted and detailed architectural designs.
As co-founder and principle architect of the practice, Johnny is responsible for all aspects of architectural design. From initial design consultations, through to developing the brief, sketch design, planning, building control, tender, contract administration, and final sign-off, Johnny will personally oversee the work on your project. For many of our customers, working with us will be the first time they have taken on the challenge of building or renovating a property. Johnny will take the time to introduce the process to our clients and makes every effort to communicate clearly, without industry jargon, so that the process is as clear and comprehensible as possible. Key to his approach is the integration of low embodied energy materials and energy efficient building design within architecture that speaks to its context.
