Yanli Shen - BA (Hons), MA, MFA

CO-FOUNDER - CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Yanli is an international designer and artist. After working in Beijing for many years, she travelled to the UK to complete her further education. She completed a degree in interior design, with first class honours, at Sheffield Hallam University, followed by a masters in Landscape Studies at The University of Sheffield. She continued her studies at Edinburgh University with a Masters in Fine Art focussing on Art, Space & Nature for which she received the student prize for the best portfolio within the school of architecture and landscape architecture.

 As a co-founder of the practice Yanli provides creative direction and is able to offer a wrap around design service which compliments our architectural work. This approach enables us to provide holistic designs which consider how people, space, interiors, and landscape, all interact. Although Yanli has always been passionate about contemporary design she also brings her knowledge of traditional Chinese philosophy, including feng-shui, to influence our work. She also provides all of our filming and photography needs, including graphics and digital rendering, and provides assistance with the social media profiles and promotion of the business.
