Contemporary Cotswold House

A design for a contextual yet contemporary dwelling based in the Cotswolds, this design proposal sits within a conservation area, the Cotswold AONB, and is nearby a number of listed buildings. The design is intended to reference the materials and scale typical of the buildings of the region without mimicking the vernacular style and provides a sustainable, low energy building, following Passive House principles. The low lying form follows slope of the site and sits below the eaves of the neighbouring buildings so that it does not impose upon the location but provides a sustainable addition of a contemporary form.
