Swindon Hall - Planning & Listed Building Consent

Swindon Hall is a large 17th century house that has undergone many changes throughout its long history, even suffering damage by fire, and subsequent remodeling to form four individual properties. We provided a listed building application and accompanying heritage statement to restore the garden room to its former use. This included the addition of new glazed doors with fan lights, new roof lantern, and repairs the stonework which had deteriorated over time. Care was taken to match the proposed works to the character of the existing property while also introducing energy saving measures to increase the thermal efficiency of the property. With careful detailing, listed building approval was granted for the inclusion of heritage double glazing with the proposed glazed doors and fanlights.
